Thanks, Dustin. I don't have an addiction story, but mental health recovery is a lot like addiction recovery, and I feel similar things for my loved one. It's so hard to let go and keep moving even when there are so many things that could go wrong. It sounds to me like you did your best to advocate for Heather. I know this was a sad story, but I appreciate the telling of it because it hits me where I am.

I agree there's so many similarities. Recovery is recovery. I both glad and sorry it's resonating with where you are. It's not a fun place to be. Holding you in the Light, friend.

The three C’s of chaplaincy: I didn’t Cause it, I can’t Cure it, and I can’t Change it. Then get to the work of presence.

I’m sorry you lost her that way, Dustin. How devastating. I’m thankful for the lives you step into and the hope you give. Naming loss is a declaration that Death never has the final word.

Those good C's to keep in mind. Thank you, Mikah. I'm sure these stories are not uncommon for you.

Love you, too, man! I keep meaning to text you! I'm sorry. Life is something lately, let me tell you. I'm going on a trip next week but the week after, let's catch up, yeah?
